These are terrible, I ordered my usual size 10 and I can’t even get my foot through the ankle part my foot just gets stuck, there’s no stretch to the ankle calf part. I don’t have huge ankles or calves either. I love the colour too and bought it to match my coat so this is a bummer. I’ll either have to size up one or get a different boot style.

I am a solid 8 with a slim to normal foot. I ordered both 8 and 9 based on reviews. These shoes really do run a full size small. The 8 was so tight I could barely get my foot in even with thin athletic socks. The 9 was good with thick socks (slightly loose but I like having room for socks in winter boots). I got these to wear after skiing and for when I’ll be in the snow for activities like snow tubing.
Pros are that they are extremely well made and do not look or feel cheap. There is a cozy fleece lining inside which is really comfy. I do recommend these boots but definitely go a full size up. I took a star off for sizing, otherwise 5 stars with correct sizing.

Warm perfect

These are super cute, but uncomfortable because the footbed is really narrow. I have never had to buy “wide” sized shoes/boots. The size length wise was perfect. I really wanted to keep these because they were so cute but ended up returning because it felt like my side of my foot was hanging over the edge of the boot.

Where to start? There’s so much wrong with this boot. It’s such a disappointment because it looked like the boots would be cute and comfy from the photos, but then you put one on and you realize they are awful.
Pros:
*Fuzzy inside lining seems like it would be warm
Cons:
*Poor construction – one of the side loops holding the laces broke when I was trying to tie the laces and pulled to tighten. I pulled very lightly.
*No arch support – very flat inside so it feels like your foot is rolling when you walk and it has nothing supporting it except puffer material. If there was support the boots would probably be comfortable.
*Pull on tab is placed in the middle of the back shaft, which is awkward. It doesn’t seem sturdy either and that it could easily rip off. The side loops with North Face branding are better but who puts a shoe on from the side? Trying to use these tabs doesn’t work because my heel gets stuck, so I need to help my foot go in through the back. Trying to use the back pull tab doesn’t help. There should be pull on tabs on the back and front of the opening of the boot.
*No half sizes – Men’s boots come in half sizes, so why not the women’s?
*Adjustment toggle – seems good in theory to keep snow out but when tightened it looks weird against the puffiness of the boot, especially from the top down. Plus, when you’ve tied the laces tight it pulls down the front part of the top so when you tighten the back strap, the coverage isn’t as high as it should be.
*Height – the boots are about 7″ high which would be adequate for walking my dog and going outside or running errands but the issue with the adjustable toggle means the boots sit only just above the ankle which isn’t ideal for Michigan conditions.
Bottom line, it seems that whoever designed these boots didn’t product test them or think the laces needed to be practical. The adjustments to keep the boot on and keep snow out were good in theory but the execution is poor. I’m sure there are other things wrong but these reasons are more than enough to be disappointed in NF and sending these boots back. The search continues.

Cute little boots, soft and comfortable, I’ve worn them in the snow and rain, so I can testify that they keep your feet warm and dry. I ordered a size 7 US and I’m normally a size 6 and they just for nice, so they do run a little on the small side. Great boots I’m happy with them.

It’s great for every day, light snow walks with the dog type thing, not for heavy snow, it’s not waterproof or water resistant, I got soaking wet in snow storm, didn’t even make it out of the parking lot from the car to the building. I could squeeze water out of my socks

I took this boots to the snow with a weather of 3 F and they were amazing:) the only thing is that sometimes my feet felt cold I don’t know if was me but anyways I received so many compliments!
Laura –
I love these boots but the exterior rips so easily :/ mine ripped in 3 places after simply brushing up against a fallen tree branch. They are very comfortable so I wear them all the time but I’d be very careful if you’re active outdoors.

I use these boots everyday! We get a lot of snow, and they keep my feet warm and dry when I am commuting to work!

I have struggled to find winter boots that won’t tear up my ankles and ones that actually keep my feet warm, and look decent. These are super comfortable- no breaking-in was needed- and on the first test drive kept my feet warm outside for 4 hours in 20-degree weather. They feel light like sneakers, are not too clunky, and have a cute enough moonboot-esque vibe.

Very comfortable, and stylish. Easy to put on and take off. I would say size wise they run true.
Crystal –
Warm and comfortable. Easy to put on and take off.

I tried this boot in sizes 8 and 9, and I kept the 9, which fits well. I also tried the Lace Up Luxe boots in the same sizes, and the 8 was too small and the 9 too large. So I think this lace up runs a bit smaller than the Luxe. This boot is a little hard to get on, as some have written already, but a good metal shoe horn makes it easy. I wore the boots to walk my dog on a cold snowy day and they were very warm, comfortable, and steady on the streets where the snow was packed and slippery. I initially tried the green-taupe color and didn’t like it, but I like the black with the white sole a lot.
Sydney –
Warm! Actually kept my feet warm and toasty while waking through snow for 3 hrs. Also comfortable
Jessica –
LOVE LOVE LOVE these boots! My first pair of snow boots ever, to be fair, but honestly The Northface has set the bar high. The boots are super supportive, didn’t slide on all the ice we had here, and the cool little string tightener on the back keeps the snow out when wading through!
As a reference, I did order a size up as I have a high arch and I figured a larger size would be helpful with the pull-on straps. And it worked for me to do that. Any narrowness other reviews might mention were eliminated when I sized up. Would totally recommend these boots and buy again in the future.

I bought these boots for an international ski trip and they were great for so many reasons. Lightweight, warm, waterproof, comfortable, stylish, functional, and easy to get on and off. Plus, they’re flexible enough to fit in my suitcase without taking up a lot of space. These boots are a win all around.
