Really love the fit of these. I’m 5’8 with a curvy figure (150 pounds) and usually struggle between knowing if I am a medium or a large in ski pants. I was pleasant surprised that the medium fit perfectly and also had the option to tighten or loosen with the Velcro straps on the inside waist. The large was definitely too big, so if you are in this range, stick with the medium. The regular length was also perfect for my height.
Alison –
I sized up so I can layer if needed, but with the insulation, I doubt I will need to. I love the adjustable waist and the length is perfect. Can’t wait to put these to use!

My daughter is 5″9′ and 124lbs. The small size in tall fit perfectly! Great looking and seems to be great quality. We’ll know more after this ski season!

Wow! I’m impressed. I bought these to replace my Sally pants, and it’s worth the investment! The inner thigh zippers are great for “spring” snowboarding temps (20-30s F), the pockets are roomy, the material holds up well with all sorts of snow. I usually wear coldgear long layers and padded shorts under my snow gear. I’m 5’5, 30″ waits and 36″ hips, I wear Levi’s Jean size 28, weighing in at about 145lbs with athletic build. I used the “Fit Finder” on the website to determine which size to get based on my sizing info and preference of loose fitting clothes. In lieu of the results, I bought a size large with some hesitation but I’ve gone out a few times and LOVE the fit. Perfect length and size to go over my layers and snowboarding boots without drag or snag. Easy to move in, comfortable, and durable! Withstands NE winds very well, so far very comfortable temp with open vents in 20*F weather.

Perfect! I have these pants in black and have worn them skiing for the last 11 years. Purchased the white to change it up and absolutely love the color and of course the fit is just as perfect as before. I purchased the Small (5’7”, 125lbs, 26” W).
Great warmth too. I wore 1 base layer beneath and was comfortable at 0 degrees in Colorado. I would highly recommend!

I needed versatile cold to very cold weather pants for everything from cold winter rain to arctic blizzard conditions. I ice fish in every weather. Hike, snowmobile, stand outside for many hours.
Pants blocked high winds and driven rain. I stayed dry. They are warm with the appropriate weight base layer underneath. The leg vents work well. These pants will work for me. I am petite and the short length option is great.
The bad: the pockets are so obviously minimized for fashion. No rear pockets. The lower cargo pocket has a weird cut that limits it from opening widely. The front pockets are low slits that again are somewhat functional but prove difficult to zip/unzip and get stuff in and out. So dumb. Winter is not about fashion but function in my world. Come on North Face get the pockets right. Everything else is so good.

Love these pants! Super-cute and slid halfway down the slope on them without hurting them a bit – durable. Kept me warm for an all-day trip.
Size was good. I’m 5’3”, 135 lbs. and bought medium, regular length. My measurements in the size chart were in line with size M. The waistband can be adjusted with Velcro tabs. Just a smidge long when I’m not wearing ski boots.

I needed new pants for skiing. I like an athletic fit with room for layers when needed. I also need a pant that allows for flexibility and movement. These were great. I’m an hourglass shape – size 8/29 in almost all my pants consistently – with a athletic/semi muscular build. For reference, my natural Waist is 29 inches and widest butt is 40 inches, and my quads are about 24 inches at their widest spot. I tried the medium and large. I felt the medium fit my waist but hugged my butt too much and didn’t have as much room in the waist if I wanted more under layers for super cold ski days. The large was a tad roomie but that was preferable knowing I could move well and fit any layer I wanted underneath. The waist also has the tabs where you can pull them tighter. I kept the large and I tried them for the first time skiing in Utah and they performed great. Fit well over my ski boots, kept me warm and dry, allowed for movement and layers when needed. I wore high waist leggings underneath and tucked in a thermal top. So was able to comfortably have two extra layers around my waist band area and not feel squeezed in. They are athletic pants and def didn’t make me look like a little “ski bunny” but that’s not what I’m go for and def isn’t a thing that matters when out skiing all day. Highly recommend!

My mom bought this for me and it’s too small, I am an XL in other clothing but not these.
Jc –
I bought these to go snowboarding and they are great! I’m 5’4′ and 110# and the xs fit perfect, they go over boots perfectly too so I didn’t need to get the short length.

The entire seam from front to back on the inside has ripped open after only a few wears of light riding. The seams on the inside of the leg vents have also started ripping/opening. The insulation is exposed and coming out. I tried to sew it back together but the pants are poor quality

I almost didn’t order these because I think the fit looks so awkward on the model (pinched waist, bunched crotch, baggy knees). Decide to give them a try and they were a little better in person, but still not right for my body. I am slender with a 27.5″ waist, usually a size 6 (sometimes 4). The small was 1/2″ too small in the waist with no room to adjust bigger. Can’t imagine who would need to make these 4″ tighter in waist…Barbie?? They didn’t look bad, but with long underwear it was uncomfortable. Bum was also very tight (looked good TBH, but I like to actually ski, not just look good). I think if I were to size up the hips would be poofy and legs too baggy. That said, if you are in fact Barbie, you may like these. Quality and features seem good for price point.
Side rant: why do all women’s ski pants seem to be made for women with tiny waists, huge hips (but slim butts), and no thighs? Does no one actually ski?? Where is the room for our rippin’ quads, glutes and obliques???

Use for wintertime such as walking and sledding
Aubrey –
I use these for walks in the winter. Went out for one walk and there is a huge rip in the shin and small tears on the back of the leg
Heather –
Was a little worried when I saw several reviews that they were sized a bit small. I just received mine and tried them on right away. Medium/Short fits perfect. I am usually a size 8-10 in jeans, thick thighs (can’t wear many modern cut jeans), and short legs (28in inseam). 159lbs/5’2″ Hope this sizing review helps others, as that I know it’s a pain to order online. 😉
Melissa –
I love them. They are light, comfortable, and warm. Definitely recommend!
Anne –
I used this pants when i went snowboarding for the first time in Big Bear. It took me a while which brand to buy for my snowboarding outfit, and i made a right decision buying this pants. Its perfect! Keep me warm and very comfortable
Van L –
I absolutely love these pants. I’ve used them 50 F slushy slopes and they are completely waterproof. I’ve used them in -20 F crazy cold weather with a wool base layer and never felt cold. I especially like the fit, as I am small (5’2″) but have thicker thighs and small waist. Couldn’t be happier with them. Movement in these is very comfortable.
Nyamsuren –
I loved this snow pants. It was so comfortable and warm. This was my first time shopped with North face. I’m fall in love with how they fit and good quality. I’ll absolutely shop again another time.
John –
So many compliments on these pants!!! Great fit and so warm! Love the print! They kept me nice and dry.
Patricia –
I really like these pants. I am 5’3″ and 105 lbs. Size small and short length fit me perfectly over snow boots or ski boots! They are a bit of a hip hugger style and sit below navel.
Ashlyn –
Got these for a trip to Colorado, happy with the warmth but the outer layer is so thin it will rip easily. Accidentally clipped a branch and I had to do rough sewing job day 2.
Purva –
It’s amazing and it’s being great in doing the cross country skiing in them
Andrea –
I really love these pants, it’s so comfy and keeps me warm. I think is one of the best products you can get.
Ava –
very good not too bulky perfect snowpants
