These are the third pair of this shoe I’ve purchased – that’s how much I love them. It looks good and feels great from the shopping mall to the hiking trail. I can’t attest to their waterproof-worthiness, but I can tell you that the foot bed is slightly padded and the toe box is perfect for the wider foot. I can definitely walk for miles in these with zero discomfort.
The color of this shoe is interesting; it’s not a true purple but is more of a purple-taupe and looks great paired with almost any other color. This shoe definitely stands out in a crowd!

Thanks to other reviews, I ordered 1/2 size up so the fit of these Back-to-Berkeley IV Waterproof boots was perfect! Because the shoestrings can be tightened or loosened from toe to ankle, adjusting each side for comfort was simple and fast. I’m looking forward to wearing them in downpours as I slog along trails and city streets.
